This module looks at the topic areas of marketing and finance as key components of business management. While not expecting you to function as accountants, this module will encourage you to become familiar with basic financial documents and also consider your organisation's approach to marketing and promotion.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module you will:

Have considered your organisation�s marketing orientation and key components of the marketing mix
Have looked at product life cycles and portfolios
Have discussed ways of analysing and the competition in your context, using different approaches to this process
Have mastered some basic financial terminology
Have explored how to monitor the financial health of your organisation on a regular basis
Have explored the role of finance as part of strategic planning
Have learned how to produce a basic Profit and Loss Plan and Cash Flow Forecast [optional lesson].

Please note that course participants will need to be able to dedicate 4 - 5 hours to work on the Pre-module Orientation Course before the actual training module starts. Please note that we cannot guarantee that all modules will run. Module fees are not refundable or transferable.

All applications and payments must be finalized at least a week before the module start dates. Applications which come in less than a week before will be deferred to the next available intake date for the module.
