- how effective is your communication?

Language teachers are in the business of communication - yet our staff often cite poor communication between staff and management as a problem. This module looks at practical ways you can achieve successful and effective communication in your workplace.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this module you will:

• Have considered issues of management style and organisational culture

• Have explored communication in all its aspects as a managerial activity

• Have acquired a set of basic principles to underpin all aspects of your communications

• Have considered how to use noticeboards as effective communication channels

• Have learnt how to handle difficult communication situations face to face

• Have a checklist of what is needed to facilitate effective communication

• Have worked with a basic communications model or speech chain

• Have a number of tools at your disposal to help you develop and enhance the effectiveness of communication in your workplace

Practical information:

Please note that course participants will need to be able to dedicate 4 - 5 hours to work on the Pre-module Orientation Course before the actual training module starts. Please note that we cannot guarantee that all modules will run. Module fees are not refundable or transferable.

All applications and payments must be finalized at least a week before the module start dates. Applications which come in less than a week before will be deferred to the next available intake date for the module.
